Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Greater Than Originally Thought

To all ACS members:

The October 6 issue of Tech Beat from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) reports on a study suggesting that carbon monoxide poisoning from power-generator exhaust is much greater than previously thought. The report recommends increasing the generator-to-dwelling distance to as much as 25 feet and being alert to such factors as air circulation patterns, wind direction and points of ingress into the dwelling unit (which could be a tent or RV as well as a house).
