Google Alerts

Here's something interesting and possibly of value. Google is beta testing a program called Google Alerts. Go to:

http://www.google.com/alerts

Sign in and enter search criteria for items you'd like Google to search for on a continuing basis. I've entered "Amateur + Radio" and set it to notify me once a day. Every day I get an email from Google with the "amateur + radio" links it's found and all I have to do is click on them and read, if I'm interested. I've been testing it for a couple of weeks and I've found it a a good way to keep informed of the latest Amateur Radio information available the net. I've found newspaper articles and other items I never would have found otherwise.

Other search terms you might find useful are "First + Responder", "CERT", "Emergency + Communications", "Emcomm", etc.

If you try this, let us know what searches you're using and if you find them useful by replying to this post.
